Meaning and Power of Your Dreams
by Gary Yamamoto
Dreams are very important to you. Psychologists know that if people are prevented
from dreaming for a few days, they begin to have psychological problems. They
may begin to hallucinate and have a difficult time trying to concentrate. Obviously,
dreams serve an important function.
Significance
Unfortunately, most people do not see the significance of their dreams. There are
some who consider sleep a waste of time. If they could do it, they would go without
sleeping. Many of these people constantly push themselves until they near
exhaustion. Unfortunately, these driven people may find it difficult to sleep. As it
was for Michael Jackson, they may need to take tranquilizers to put them to sleep.
Then, waking in the morning in a semi-drugged state, they may need another pill to
get them going.
In this state, people tend not to dream. Instead of sleeping and dreaming, the drugs
render them unconscious. For this reason, we will recommend you try to sleep
naturally, without the use of pills.
Dreams Are Important
Why are your dreams important? I have been working with dreams for over 40
years. I have taught classes and given speeches on dream analysis. I am also the
author of Creative Dream Analysis: A Guide to Self-Development. Your life will be
greatly improved by working with your dreams and also gleaning any information
that is being given to you through your dreams.
There are several different types of dreams that people have. These are:
•
Clearance Dreams
•
Guidance Dreams
•
Psychic Dreams
•
Active Dreams
Clearance Dreams
In this article we will discuss clearance dreams. For one thing, they begin to
remove stress from your life. These stress removing dreams are created to allow
you a safe way to release the energy that the day's stress created.
For people suffering from great stress or post-traumatic stress disorder, dreams are
constantly working to relieve the stress from your life. Do not short-change the
process by cutting back on sleep. Sleep is your ally for alleviating the stress from
your life.
Maximize the Dream Process
To maximize the dream process, we would recommend the following:
•
Keep a dream journal. It will help to record not only your stress-removing
dreams, but the other more significant dreams you may be having.
•
Analyze your dreams. We will show you how to do this in subsequent Special
Reports.
If you would like to maximize the benefit you receive from your dreams, we
recommend you check out our book, Creative Dream Analysis. You will not only
learn to solve problems at work, you will be able to use it to improve your personal
life and relationships.
